A representation of the Wattle Wreath Flag in Sydney
Wattle Wreath celebrates every Australian, with a shared flag symbolising unity, sovereignty, and heritage. It presents an alternative to the colonial blue ensign, which elevates the union jack and denigrates our sovereignty.
The golden wattle represents our Australian homeland and national sovereignty and is our national floral emblem. A wreath represents excellence and victory and elevates our sovereignty in a way that can never be done by a union jack. The southern cross represents our heritage as a symbol which have guided Australians for thousands of years. A commonwealth star can also be added to the flag, representing the unity of not only all Australian states within our nation, but extending to all of the diverse communities that call Australia home.
The Wattle Wreath Flag can be used to represent our ideals of an Australian Republic which is led and represented by an Australian head of state, and for the values associated with an aspirational Australian Republic.
